Data Protection Policy in accordance with the GDPR

In accordance with the legal obligations set out in the Act on the Residence of Foreign Nationals in the Czech Republic and the Act on Local Charges, the Rustico Guesthouse has legal grounds and legal obligations to request personal data from citizens – guests of the guesthouse.

Under the Act on the Residence of Foreign Nationals in the Czech Republic, a foreign national seeking accommodation must complete a registration form at reception with a member of staff, stating the duration of their stay, first name, surname, date of birth, nationality, travel document number and address. They must sign the registration form. The receptionist shall check the forms to ensure that they contain all the required details and shall handle them solely in accordance with the relevant legislation. The registration forms are kept under lock and key.

In accordance with the Local Fees Act, anyone seeking accommodation – a guest at the guesthouse – must present their identity document to the receptionist at reception. The receptionist shall enter the required details into the electronic register, namely: the dates of stay, first name, surname, date of birth, address, and the number and type of identity document. Once the details have been recorded, the identity document shall be returned to the guest. Personal data is processed solely for the purpose of fulfilling a legal obligation. The receptionist ensures that, whenever they leave their post, the register is secured against access by third parties.

Penzion Rustico fully respects its guests’ privacy. Guests’ personal data is treated as confidential information; it is stored securely and used solely for the purpose of fulfilling the statutory obligations set out above.
